Fashion magnate John Robinson, who utilized Kate Middleton before she wed Prince William, has won a three-year battle to host weddings at his Cotswolds estate.<\/p>\n

The multi-millionaire creator of fashion chain Jigsaw had to get rid of objections from locals about sound pollution and overloaded roads. He was given four months’ notice in 2022 to stop hosting events at his \u20a4 12 million residential or commercial property, Euridge Manor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But, after a nine-day public query, Robinson, 77, has been approved consent to continue hosting events on the sprawling 450-acre estate, where Poldark star Eleanor Tomlinson exchanged swears with rugby player<\/a> Will Owen.<\/p>\n

‘Euridge Manor Weddings is delighted<\/a> at the grant of preparing approval,’ a spokesman says.<\/p>\n

When Robinson bought Euridge Manor Farm in 1980, it covered 200 acres, with a five-bedroom farmhouse, sheds and 3 cottages. But the tycoon extended<\/a> the estate, buying 250 acres of surrounding land, and developing an orangery with two bed rooms and an indoor pool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He wed now ex-wife Belle at Euridge in 2004. After their divorce in 2014, Robinson signed up business Euridge Manor Weddings Incorporated and started hosting ceremonies.<\/p>\n

Neighbours complained about traffic, music and firework displays lasting into the little hours and stated the estate did not have approval for ‘modification of usage’ in order to host weddings.<\/p>\n

After two planning applications and an appeal, preparing approval has now been given subject to a variety of conditions to manage noise and address highway safety concerns.<\/p>\n
